About our School

Our mission is to be a tool each parent can use as they fulfill their God-given responsibility to educate their children.
To see students grow in their relationship with Christ and be academically and spiritually equipped for God's plan for their lives.

Our Mission
Our Story
The story of Harvest Christian School began with a vision placed on the hearts of our church family - a deep desire to provide a Christ-centered education for our community. For several years, we prayed and planned, trusting that God would open the right doors in His perfect timing. In 2019, He answered prayers by providing $10,000 in funding and a dedicated teacher, allowing us to open our doors with a single Kindergarten class. From that humble beginning, God has continued to bless and grow our school. Each year since, we have added a new grade level, and today we joyfully serve students through 6th grade, continuing to build on the foundation of faith and learning that started it all.
Why Christian School?
Choosing where your child is educated is one of the most important decisions you as a parent will make. For many parents, the question isn’t simply about academics — it’s about influence, foundation, and faith.
A Christian education instructs students in an environment where Biblical truth is not an afterthought, but the foundation. Faith is not separated from learning; it shapes how history is understood, how science is explored, and how character is formed. Students are consistently reminded of who they are in Christ and the purpose He has for their lives, bringing glory to Him in all they do.
Christian schools also provide a unique partnership between school and home. Parents remain the primary spiritual leaders of their children, and education becomes a shared mission rooted in shared values.
In a smaller, Christ-centered community, students are known personally and encouraged intentionally. They are challenged academically while also being guided in integrity, responsibility, compassion, and servant leadership. Ultimately, Christian education is about preparing them for a life grounded in faith, truth, and purpose.

Statement of Faith
Gospel Light Baptist Church is an Independent Baptist Church. It is not part of any organization of churches, convention, or fellowship. The leadership and members of the church believe that it is their responsibility to operate the church as God leads, and to support the doctrines that He has established in His Word.
Only Bible doctrines, as set forth in the Statement of Faith, will be subscribed to by HCS, and will not be subject to review by parents of students nor members of the church. If any parent objects to the Bible doctrines of GLBC as expressed in the Statement of Faith he should reconsider enrollment of his children in this school. It must be remembered that involvement at Harvest Christian School is a privilege and not a right.
The doctrinal position of HCS is the same as set forth in the Constitution of GLBC. The following is a summary:
-
The Bible is the verbally inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of Go.d
-
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
-
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was virgin born, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose physically from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again in power and glory.
-
Jesus is the great High Priest and makes intercession for us before God.
-
All men are sinners by nature and are at enmity with God; therefore, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential to their salvation.
-
Men are justified by faith in the shed blood of Christ and are saved by grace through faith.
-
Every born-again persons should declare his faith by the act of baptism.
-
The Holy Spirit convicts of sin: makes believers children of God through the new birth, assuring them of heaven; and by His indwelling, enables Christians to lead Godly lives.
